1. Johann Christoph¹ Sebert birth date unknown.

He married Christiane Elisabeth Lages. Johann's great-grandson Heinrich Siebert (1845-1920) did some research in the appropriate church records in Germany and writes the following in his "History of the Siebert Family"⁽⁵⁷⁸⁾ : "The court pastor von Haller at Arolsen, from whom I got this certificate [of the birth of Johann's son Johann in 1779], wrote in addition: 'In the oldest records the family name is written as Severt and Sebert. Comparison with the confirmation registers enabled me to establish that the Johann Heinrich Ludwig Sebert born on February 23, 1779 is identical to the person later named Siebert. Perhaps additional details can be obtained from the church registry in Helsen, near Arolsen, to which the residents of Arolsen belonged until 1752.' But I couldn't get further details from Helsen and therefore can't provide the birth dates of my great grandparents and their forbears." According to his son's birth and baptismal record, Johann was a hatmaker. This record also gives the mother's maiden name of Lages.
