2. Richard² Goodwin (Richard¹) was born in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts 8 MAY 1698.

He married Sarah Hall. Sarah was born 25 JUL 1696. Sarah was the daughter of John Hall and Elizabeth.

Richard Goodwin and Sarah Hall had the following child:

3 i. Elizabeth³ Goodwin. She married Thomas Whitehouse, about 1743. Thomas was born 8 April 1713, in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. Thomas was the son of Pomfret Whitehouse and Rebecca. Thomas died 1786, in Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire, at 73 years of age. (See Thomas Whitehouse for the continuation of this line.)
