Married on August 2, 1914 by Frank F. Benson in Somerset County, Maryland.  G. L. Taylor was the witness for the license.  Maggie Belle Larmore was from Crisfield, Maryland.  They resided in areas near Guilford Neck such as Guilford, Clam, Bloxom, and Hopeton Virginia.  He was a waterman most of his life.  Later on he worked for the Naval Air Station at Wallops Island, Virginia.  She was a very good seamstress, and made many of the clothes their children wore.  She was quoted as saying "Give me my flowers while I live."
