Mr. Samuel Jones Rawlins died at the home of his sister, Mrs. James R. Giddens, Eastman, Route 6, on December 29, following an extended illness of cardio-renal disease. Funeral services were conducted at Bethal Church Sunday by Rev. J. B. Evans. Hymns were sung by J.E. Butler, J.J. Rozar, and Misses Ruby Dykes and Geneva Colson, with Miss Drucilla Dykes at the organ. The following served as pallbearers: W.S. Milner, J.T. Mullis, H.F. Nicolson, Bud Joiner, Ozro Peacock, and L.M. Giddens. Interment was in Bethal Cemetery.
Mr. Rawlins is survived by his wife and following children: Mrs. C.E. Calyton, W.W., Talmadge, Hilton and Helen.
