BUEY SHIFFLETT
Buey Shifflett, 59, of Advance Mills, died Tuesday, May 31, at a Charlottesville hospital. He was a native of Greene County and a veteran of World War I. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Minnie Morris Shifflett; four sons, Buey Shifflett Jr. and Jimmy Shifflett, both of Earlysville, Jesse Shifflett and Sam Shifflett, both of Advance Mills; three brothers, Sam Shifflett of Dyke, Journey Shifflett of Covington, and William Shifflett, of Free Union; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Davis, of Craigsville and 10 grandchildren. A graveside service was held Thursday at 2 p.m., at Buck Mountain cemetery, Earlysville. The Greene County Record, Thursday, June 9, 1955
