  General Notes:

His family moved to Appling County about 1890. There is some doubt as to his birth year. It has been listed as 1877 and 1878. The 1880 census of Robeson County indicates he would have been born in 1877 or 1878 depending on when the census was actually taken. He Applied for Social Security Benefits and listed his birth year as 1878. Alice has a bible that listed it as 1878. Perhaps he used it as proof of his age. Ralph says the family of his Mother, Annie Hinson White, His first wife, gave the family a large farm in Hazlehurst. The farm was lost because of taxes. The only home remembered was a house on Railroad Street that burned in 1953 and the house that was rebuilt on the same property.

Coody Cemetery # 2 Located in Cochran, Bleckley County, Georgia, direction, leave traffic light at 2nd and Dykes St. go west on Hwy. 26, half mile to Limestone road turn left go about a mile -turn right on Henry Simpson road, turn right at house in the middle of the road- go about 500 yards in the field -cemetery is on the left.
