Called "Sr." to distinguish him from a nephew who is designated "Jr." He was still a minor when his father died in 1655 but he signed an oath of allegiance to the Commonwealth of England on 13-APR-1652. Prominent in Northumberland Co. A justice for a number of years and member of the House of Burgesses.

Peter married Elizabeth Thompson [961] [MRIN: 84], daughter of Richard Thompson [1058] and Ursula Bysshe/Bishe [1061], about 1660. (Elizabeth Thompson [961] was born circa 1642 in Kent Island Estates, Queen Anne's, Maryland, USA and died in 1720 in , Northumberland, Virginia, USA.)
