Loudon,VA Deed book 2G p. 166. This Indenture, Tripartee, made the 25th day of Jan 1806, between Henry M. Davis of the Town of Leesburg, Loudoun Do., Va., Catharine Ansell, and Leonard Ansell, of said County and State ... a marirage is shortly to be solemnized between Henry M. Davis and the said Catharine Ansell...and the said Catharine Ansell is possessed and entitled to the estate consisting of land and other inheritance...with the rest of Leonard Ansell, Senr's children...and cannot at present be particularly designated until a division of the estate of said Leonard Ansell, deceased (above alluded to ) takies place...said Catharine also possessed of three feather beds and furniture and two tables, one desk, one looking glass, one cow, one chest, six chairs and kitchen furniture, which last mentioned property was acquired by the industry of her, the said Catharine testimony whereof, the said Henry M. Davis and the said Leonard Ansell have hereunto set their hands and offered their seals....Signed. Henry M. Davis, Catharine (her mark) Ansell, Lenhard Ansell. At a Court of Loudoun County, Feb. 11, 1806, this contract was proved by the oaths of John Feichter and Melther Ansell. Examined and delivered to Leonard Ansell, March 9, 1807.
1806 Loudoun,VA Deed Book 2G page 169. This indendure, Tripartee, made this 25th Day of January 1806, between Henry M. Davis of the Town of Leesburg, in Loudoun Co., Catharine Ansell, and Leonard Ansell, of said County, Whereas a marriage is intended...between Henry M. Davis and said Catharine Ansell...Henry M. Davis...Grant, Bargain, and Sell to Leonard Ansell...all that lot or parcel of land in the Town of Leesburg on which I now dwell...conveyed to my deceased wife, Jane R. Davis, in a short time after our marriage, by John Reiger and Margeret, his wife, by Indenture of Bargain & Sale. Signed, Henry M. Davis, Catharine (her mark) Ansell, Leonhard Ansell. Wit., John Fichter, John (his mark) Fry, Melther (his mark) Ancel. Proved by oaths of John Fichter, John Fry, Melcher Ansell.
