Aaron was born in 1788 at Big Moccasin Creek, Fincastle Co., VA.
Aaron and Elizabeth L. Connelly (the daughter of Henry Connelly Sr. and Ann McGregor) were married in 1810.
Aaron and Elizabeth had the following children:

Aaron was recorded in the census in 1840 at , Warren Co., TN.

Aaron was recorded in the census in 1860 at , DeKalb Co., AL.

Aaron died in June 1862 at Lebanon, DeKalb Co., AL.

Aaron had several land grants in Warren Co., TN and live for some time adjoining his brother, Robert H. Tate who sold his home place 12 Jan 1819. He lived on Wannamaker Branch, a tributary of the Collings River in Warren Co., TN, a planter. In 1820, they had a large family, but we know they didn't marry until 1810; consequently it is thought by this compiler that their help was counted with the family. In 1820 they had 3 sons u/10, 1 dau u/10, and 2-10/16. In 1830 there were 2 sons u/5 and 2 daus. u/5. By 1840 they had migrated to DeKalb Co. Ala. Some descendants in Texas state that all of their children were born in Tenn., but their account of the family at that point was rather vague and they attached Aaron Tate to the old David Tate of Botetourt Co., VA, which is an error. (This has since been corrected.) They stated there were 12 children but we have accounted for 13. (MAYBE we have 13.  Nancy Tate may not be Aaron's daughter.)  Tradition is not very accurate. (Isn't THA!
T the truth!) They lived near Fort Payne, DeKalb Co., Ala. for many years. He died in June 1862 age 75 years, both bur. near Fort Payne, DeKalb Co., Ala. Ref: Russell Co.
