Drafted into the Army 13 Jul. 1944, Camp Joseph T Robinson, Little Rock, Arkansas. World War ll European Theater with 101 Airborne Dividison. Discharged late 1945 or early 1946. Recalled to Active duty in 1950 for Korean War. Seriously Wounded
29 May 1951 in the vicinity of Chapyong, South Korea. Released from Active Duty 12 Jul 1951. Received the Bronze Star Metal w/V for Bravery while a member of the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team.
