This project is currently limited to males with the surnames Matthews, Mathis, Mathews, Matthis, or one of the many variants.
Once we have a solid base of male descendant results we will be inviting participation from female descendants of Matthews, Mathews, Mathis, Matthis (and variant) ancestors. The cost of the necessary MtDNA test should become more affordable as DNA testing to prove or disprove family connections becomes more common.
