These cards were made with pieces of real flowers, some of which remain.

The card on the left was found in a photo album and the card on the right was found in a family Bible. Both belonged to Henry and Marie (Kibbee) Rosnagel. Marie wrote the notation "Came from Germany" on the card on the left.

This photo is from the Sunday News, March 16, 1947, page 13. I believe this photo ran at different times in different cities. Hank and Marie received letters from different parts of the country before this copy ran. Unfortunately, Mary Ellen passed away before this copy appeared.

Henry Rosnagel with daughter Mary Ellen and sister-in-law Millie Kibbee Hintz Rakoczy. Marie did not feel well after her ordeal so sister Millie posed for the photo.

Niagara Falls, 1926

This clipping and photo were found together in Marie Kibbee Rosnagel's photo album. She told us the story behind this many times when we were children. Marie and Hank were standing nearby when Jean Lussier emerged from the ball. Mr. Lussier borrowed Marie's lipstick to enhance his cuts for the cameras.
