bullet  General Notes:

I checked the Cemetery Records at the library, and didn't find a Sarah Lindsey or Sarah Lindsey Perryman, her grave is apparently unmarked if she is burried in Smith County.

Marriage Records show Sarah E.J. Lindsey, but Court records show Sarah E.V. Lindsey. Jan. 23, 1860 Court records show Sarah E. I. V. Perryman, (formerly Sarah E.I.V. Lindsey) and her husband James Perryman, which would verify this is one and the same person.

bullet  Noted events in her life were:

• 9 Feb 1841, Court Records: Inventory of William Lindsey's Estate-,most likely, Sarah's father, , Tishomingo, Mississippi, USA.

• 5 Dec 1842, Court Records: John Robertson/Robinson Guardianship for Sarah E.V. Lindsey, Tishomingo County, Mississippi. also signing this was Elizabeth Lindsey

V. Lindsey, William P. died in 1841 and his estate was inventoried by Thomas H. Caleb and Joshua Lindsey. Thomas H. Lindsey was the administrator his his estate." The article list Caleb Lindsey as being given the contract to build the first courthouse in Tishomingo County for the sum of $199, it states that in November 1836, Thomas Lindsey was granted a license to keep an inn or tavern. Alfred J. Lindsey helped build roads in 1837 and served as Constable in 1840 and 1841. John Lindsey served as Justice of the Peace in 1840-41, and was President of the Board of Police in 1848-49 and 1850-51.

• Burial location: 4 I checked the Cemetery Records at the Tyler library, and didn't find a Sarah Lindsey or Sarah Lindsey Perryman, her grave is apparently unmarked if she is burried in Smith County.

She is probably buried in the "Perryman Cemetery" that is listed on a Smith County map for that time period. James & or his father owned the property where the cemetery is. There is no known marker, the "Hale" family has owned the property for a number of years, the son who now (2008) owns the property personally looked in this cemetery and said there is no "Perryman" stones, only a couple with the surname of "White", which was an owner after the Perrymans. The property is located in northern Smith County near the Sabine River in Red Springs community, and there is no road access to it, and is not accessable by vehicle, he did offer to drive me to view it by tractor.
