Services for Mr. Hoyt Long, age 79 of Red Springs, are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the Red Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Breithaupt officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Springs Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mr. Long died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 in a Tyler hospice center. He was born in Smith County on January 14, 1926 to Horace Roe and Gussie Munn Long and was a lifelong resident of the Red Springs area. Mr. Long was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy and also owned and operated the Tyler Mattress Factory. He was a member of the Red Springs Baptist Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Long is survived by 2 daughters, Pam Langley and Amona Harris, both of Dallas; 2 sisters, Marine Mallory of Clarksville and Margie Malone of Lindale; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
