Her mother's maiden name was Cline, but as of yet, I've found no connection, this Cline family was from Missouri.
Her father was a minister, but their marriage was performed by Justice of Peace E. D. Gant.
Granny was a very short small lady (under 5'), she was an excellent seamstress, and did beautiful handwork. Since I was only 8 yrs. old when she died, I don't remember alot about her, but her work is evident in the Crocheted Declaration of Independence that she gave Daddy, and in the doll dress that she'd made Claudie's doll that I wore to have my picture made in.

bullet  Marriage Notes:

They broke up housekeeping several years before Granny's death, They each lived with their children for a month or so at a time, then Granny got an apartment in Tyler and was living there at her death. Papa went to live with Irene in Woodlake, Tx, and after Irene's husband died, she moved back to Smith County, near Tyler, Papa continued to live with her. Until a few years before his death, he continued to go to the other children's homes for a short stay, but mainly lived with Irene.
