Notes for Elizabeth VAUGHAN,

"Betsy"
Betsy and her family are enumerated on the 1820 Grayson County census with both Richard and Betsy being between 16 and 26 years of age and three males (sons?) under the age of ten. Richard and Betsy moved to Greene County, IN
about 1826 where the family is enumerated on the 1830 census. When Richards estate was settled in 1853 his widows name was given as Malitia/Malicia. It appears possible that Betsy may have died between 1830 and 1840 and
Richard remarried but no record of a second maniage has been found for him. It is believed that even if Richard remarried, children Lorenzo Dow through Elizabeth are the children of Betsy.

No tombstones for Betsy or Richard have been found in the Greene Co., IN cemeteries.
