167.  Elder Hardin Price6 HYLTON (Austin5, Elizabeth4, Elijah3, George2, John1); born November 11, 1822 in VA;[1] married Francis Bowman November 27, 1844; married Sarah Carter circa 1900; died December 24, 1905 at age 83; buried in Willis Church Cemetery in Floyd Co., VA.[2],[3]

     He was a farmer in Floyd Co., VA with $2350 in real estate and $636 in personal property in 1860.[4],[5]

     Francis BOWMAN; daughter of Christian Bowman and Hannah Rhinehart was born on February 3, 1824 in Montgomery Co., VA.[6],[7] She died on February 15, 1898 at age 74; buried in Willis Church Cemetery in Floyd Co., VA.[8]

          325.        iv.     Lydia Ellen Hylton; born December 16, 1851 in VA;[11] married Peter Willis circa 1875;[12] died December 19, 1884 in Floyd Co., VA, at age 33; cause of death was womb disease.[13]

          326.         v.     Rev. Christian Darias Hylton; born June 20, 1854 in VA; married Mattie Ellen Bowman December 22, 1881; died January 6, 1940 at age 85.[14], [15]

          327.        vi.     Susannah Pennelope Hylton; born December 14, 1856 in Floyd Co., VA; married Peyton Wade circa 1880. [16],[17]

          328.     vii.     John William Bowman Hylton; born June 20, 1859 in Floyd Co., VA; married Mary Ellen Booth December 24, 1874. [18], [19]

          329.     viii.     Joseph Marrion Hylton; born September 28, 1861 in Floyd Co., VA;[20] died September 29, 1864 at age 3; buried in Willis Church Cemetery in Floyd Co., VA.[21]

          330.        ix.     Solomon Plane Hylton; born March 7, 1864; married Samantha W. Stover circa 1890; married Nina Florence Akers June 2, 1906; died April 12, 1933. [22]

     Sarah CARTER was born circa 1825.[23]

172.  Emelia Edna6 HYLTON (Austin5, Elizabeth4, Elijah3, George2, John1); born 1835 in Floyd Co., VA;[24] married Lewis Jackson Hylton, son of Bryant A. Hylton and Nancy Ellen Wade, 1860; died February 25, 1897 in Floyd Co., VA.[25]

     Lewis Jackson HYLTON (Bryant5, John4, Elijah3, George2, John1) was born on February 11, 1831 in Floyd Co., VA.[26],[27] He was a farmer between 1860 and 1868 in Floyd Co., VA with $1100 in real estate and $263 in personal property (in 1860).[28]

     He began military service on October 9, 1861 when he enlisted in Co. D of the 54th VA INF at Jacksonville, VA.  2nd Corporal.  Present on Jan 1, 1862.  Paid through Mar 31, 1862. 

     Enlisted in Co. E of the 25th VA CAV on Sep 5, 1862 in Montgomery Co., VA.  Transferred from Co. D of the 54th VA INF.  On extra duty Oct 1, 1863 to Apr 1, 1864 as Wagoner and Forage Master for W. E. Jones Brigade.  On furlough Oct 9, 1864 for 30 days.  Present Dec 1864 muster roll.  Born Feb 11, 1831.  Resident of Floyd Co., VA.  Died Sep 5, 1912 in Mercer Co., WV.  UDC application filed.[29],[30] He died on September 5, 1912 in Mercer Co., WV, at age 81.[31]
