1.  Johann HOLTZKLAU (5073); born 1525 (of Siegen, Germany); married Ahl ? (5074), daughter of Henchin Ohl (5300) and Aennchen Beckers (5301), circa 1550; married Treina Latsch (5155) circa 1560 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany; died 1578 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[1]

     He was a member of the Baker's Guild in 1558 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[2]

 

     Ahl (Ohl) ? (5074) was born circa 1520 (of Klafeld, Nassau-Siegen, Germany).[3]

     Children of Johann Holtzklau (5073) and Ahl ? (5074) were as follows:

+         2.        i.    Franz (5072), born between 1545 and 1550 (of Weidenau, Germany).

+         3.        ii.    Johann (5298), born circa 1555 (of Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany).

 

      Catharina “Treina” LATSCH, a widow (5155) was born circa 1525.[4] She married Hans Knie (5297) in 1579.[5] She died in 1598 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[6]

     Children of Johann Holtzklau (5073) and Treina Latsch (5155) were as follows:

+         4.        i.    Johannes Hans (5156), born 1560 (of Siegen, Germany); married Treina Bingener (5157).

           5.        ii.    Thomas "the Elder" (5158); born circa 1566;[7] married Gertrud ? (5159) circa 1590;[8] died November 20, 1631 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[9]

     Between 1599 and 1631 he was a member of the Baker's Guild; from 1615-1619 he conducted an inn also in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[10] He was a member of the City Council in 1609 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[11] He was an associate justice of the city court, several times Mayor, second mayor in 1616 and 1619, first mayor in 1627 and 1631 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[12] He became a Catholic due to the government-enforced counter-reformation.[13]

           6.      iii.    Weigand (5299); born circa 1570 (of Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany);[14] died before 1598.[15]

     She was in High School on March 3, 1585 in Siegen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[16]
