1.  Johann SOLBACH (5069); born circa 1619; married Elisabeth Patt (5070), daughter of Theiss Patt (5099) and Agnes Jung (5100), before 1643; died before 1657.[1]

 

     Elisabeth PATT (5070) was born in 1618/19 in Germany.[2]

     Children of Johann Solbach (5069) and Elisabeth Patt (5070) were as follows:

+         2.        i.    Johannes Ludwig (5357), born 1643; married Hebel Flender (5573).

+         3.        ii.    Gertrud (4958), born 1644 (of Trupach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany); married Hans Henrich Holtzklau (4957).

 

Generation Two

 

 

2.  Johannes Ludwig SOLBACH (5357); born 1643 and christened Jan 11, 1643; married Hebel Flender (5573) 1664/65; died between 1699 and 1702 in Klafeld, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[3]

     He was admitted to the Guild of Smelterers and Hammersmiths in 1657 in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany. He served in the military in 1679 in Schneppenkauten settlement, Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany as a sergeant of militia. He lived circa 1680 in the Geisweid iron-works in Klafeld, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[4]

 

     Hebel FLENDER (5573)[5] was born in 1644.[6]

     Children of Johannes Ludwig Solbach (5357) and Hebel Flender (5573) were as follows:

           4.        i.    Margreth (5574); born 1666 in the Schneppenkauten settlement in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and christened the 2nd Sunday after Advent.[7]

           5.        ii.    Johann Jost (5575); born 1669 in the Schneppenkauten settlement in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and christened the 4th Sunday after Epiphany.[8]

           6.      iii.    Johann Curth (5576); born 1672 in the Schneppenkauten settlement in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and christened Exaudi Sunday.[9]

           7.       iv.    Christin (5577); born 1674 in the Schneppenkauten settlement in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and christened Reminiscere Sunday.[10]

           8.       v.    Hebel (5578); born 1675 in the Schneppenkauten settlement in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and christened the 24th Sunday after Trinity.[11]

           9.       vi.    Hans Ludwig (5579); born 1682 in Klafeld, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.[12]

 

3.  Gertrud SOLBACH (4958); born 1644 (of Trupach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany) and christened Oct 30, 1644; married Hans Henrich Holtzklau (4957), son of Johannes Holtzklau (4980) and Hebel Flender (4981), 1665/66 in Germany; died after 1683 in Trupach, Germany.[13]

 

     Hans Henrich “John Henry” HOLTZKLAU (4957) was born in 1647 in Weidenau, Nassau-Siegen, Germany and christened Oculi Sunday (March). He died in August, 1711 in Oberfischbach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany. Buried Aug 25, 1711 in Oberfischbach.[14]  For more on this family see the Holtzklau section
