This identification is not positive. Co. G. is from Montgomery Co., VA. The 1860 Montgomery Census has a Peter J. Keister living with the
Rainey family. The 1850 Census has only
one Peter Keister in that age range.
This is Peter Keister, age 14, the son of Jacob and Margaret Keister.[23]
