469.  Harry Price6 KEISTER (Walter5, David4, Peter3, Peter2, Philip1); born July 8, 1902 in Radford, VA;[1],[2] married Margaret Virginia Howell, daughter of Elbert Eden Howell and Bertha Burnop, September 27, 1927 in Radford, VA;[3] died December 1, 1954 in Radford, VA, at age 52, of a Heart attack; burial in Sunrise Cemetery, Radford, VA.

     He worked for the railroad, Lynchburg Foundry, Radford Arsenal (during WWII), and as a moulder.[4]

     He lived in Radford, VA and Fairmont WVA (app. one year).[5]

     Obituary: RADFORD, Dec 2,1954-Harry Price Keister, 53, died last night at his home here.

     Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Howell Keister; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Roseberry, Lynchburg; Miss Ann Keister, Radford; three brothers, Harvey, Walter and Paul Keister, all of Radford; one sister, Miss Mabel Keister, Radford.

      Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Radford Christian Church.  Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery.  The body will remain at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home here until one hour before services on December 2, 1954 in Radford, VA.[6]

 

     Margaret Virginia HOWELL was born on September 27, 1908 in Radford, VA. [7],[8] She worked at Webb's Grocery; as a Dental Assistant; at Scott's 5&10 abd Umbarger's Grocery before 1992.[9] She died on March 4, 1992 in Salem, VA, at age 83.

     Obituary: SALEM  Margaret H. Keister, 83, of Salem and formerly of Radford, died Wednesday, March 4 at her home.

     She was the widow of Harry Price Keister and was a member of Melrose Christian Church.

     The funeral will be conducted today (Friday, March 6) at 1 p.m. at Oakey’s Funeral Home after March 4, 1992.[10]
