A Mother's Treasure
Hearts and ribbons, flowers and lace
Upon a lovely card
A valentine for Mom and Dad
From little hands that worked so hard.
The idea came from teacher
But the work he did himself
The valentine is proudly placed
Upon a wooden shelf.
Now the boy is grown into a man
And Daddy's passed away
Mom can't see to drive the car
So she sits at home each day.
Though faded now and yellowed with age
Looking quite worn out itself
The valentine still proudly sits
Upon the wooden shelf.

Renewing Our Bonds Of Love
They've set aside
One day each year
For lovers to renew
The bonds of love,
They hold so dear
And treasure all year through.
But just suppose
Your time should end,
Before Valentine's Day should come
Will your loved one know
How much you cared
When your time on earth is done.
Tomorrow, today, and every day
Should be the day for you
To show your sweetheart
How much you care
And those bonds
Of love renew.
