WILLIAM SWINSCOW 1887
I William Swinscow of Fairfield in the County of Derby, Grocer, hereby revoke all former wills made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament. I give all my furniture, fixtures, stocks in trade and effects in my house and shop to my Daughter Mary (the wife of John Henry Harrington) for her own use absolutely. I devise and bequeath all the residue of my estate both real and personal unto my brother in law, George Bonsall of Longstone, farm labourer and my friend Samuel Heath of the Bulls Head Inn, Fairfield, in trust to sell and convert the same into money at the expiration of one year and one day after my decease and shall stand possessed of the proceeds of sale in trust after paying my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and debts, to invest the residue and to pay the income to arise therefrom to my said Daughter Mary Harrington during her life and from and after her decease in trust as to the principal as well as the income for my Grandson John Swinscow Harrington absolutely if he shall be living at my Daughters death and shall have attained or afterward attained the age of twenty one years. But if he shall die in my Daughters lifetime or under the age of twenty one years in trust for the other children of my said Daughter Mary Harrington who being Sons shall attain the age of twenty one years of age, or sibling Daughters shall attain that age or marry and if more than one in equal shares. But if there shall be no child of my said Daughter who shall become entitled then upon trust for all the children of James Ashmans of Pentridge, Collier living at the death of my said Daughter and if more than one in equal shares and do appoint my brother in law George Bonsall and the said Samuel Heath the executors of this my will. The Testator William Swinscow was late of Fairfield,
in the County of Derby, Grocer and died on the 26th
day of February 1887 at Fairfield aforesaid.
