LYDIA SWINSCOW 1866
This is the last will and testament of me Lydia Swinscow of Liverpool in the County of Lancaster Spinster First I direct the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give unto my nieces Mary and Margaret and my nephew William Swinscow my two shares in the Universal Building Society and two shares in the Talbot Building Society in Liverpool together with the sum of twenty pounds which I have in the Bold Street Savings Bank to be divided amongst them in equal shares I hereby direct that my Executors or Executor for the time being may either allow the amount of my said shares to remain in the said Building Societies or at any time to draw out the same and place the amount of such shares and all interest on soome other good security at interest as they shall think proper And I hereby direct that the amount of my said nieces and nephews share and all interest on such share shall be paid to my said nieces and nephew on the respectively attaining the age of twenty one years and in case of the death of one of my said nieces or nephew then I direct that the share and all interest of such one so dying shall be equally divided amongst the two surviving and if two should die then the shares of such two dying and all interest to be given to the survivor or her or his attaining the age of twenty one years - If there should be any amount left after discharging my debts and aforesaid legacies then I give such sum of money so left to my said Brother Daniel Swinscow I hereby appoint Thomas Swinscow sole Executor of this my will In witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my mark this twenty third day of November one thousand eight hundred and sixty five Lydia her X mark Swinscow Signed by the said Lydia Swinscow as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us (both being present at the same time) who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed ouir names as witnesses to her mark, France Beha 31 Gardeners Row, Liverpool Samuel Dickinson 38 Dale Street Proved at Liverpool the 24th March 1866 by the oath of Thomas Swinscow the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted The Testarix Lydia Swinscow was late of Gardeners Row Liverpool in the County of Liverpool Spinster and died on the 24th December 1865 at Gardeners Row aforesaid.

On the 22nd day of April 1884 Letters of Administration with the Will annexed to the personal Estate and Effects of Lydia Swinscow Late of Gardners Row Liverpool in the County of Lancaster Spinster deceased, who died on the 24th day of December 1865 at Gardners Row aforesaid left unadministered by Thomas Swinscow since deceased whilst living the sole Executor named in the said Will were granted by Her Majesty's High Court of Justice in the District Registry attached to the Probate Division thereof at Liverpool to Daniel Swinscow of 2 Court Barwise Street Liverpool aforesaid Tailor the Brother the Residuary Estate named in the said Will he having been first sworn to duly to administer the said Thomas Swinscow having died intestate Former Grant District Register at Liverpool March 1866
