This is the last Will and Testament of me John Swinscoe of Cromford in the County of Derby Mechanic I direct the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses at my decease by my executors hereinafter named I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Hannah Swinscoe my household furniture for her use during her life and at her decease I give the said furniture to my siter in law Dorothy Spencer for her use during her life and after the decease of my said wife and my Sister in law I give the said furniture unto my niece Mary Ann Gould absolutely (save and except) the following specific gifts namely I give the thirty hour Clock and two armed chair unto my nephew Richard Swinscoe and to my great Nephew John Brysen? Gould I give my Harmonium and the residue of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give to my wife absolutely And I appoint my said wife Hannah Swinscoe my newphew Richard Hackett of Manchester and George Clement Gould of Cromford Executors of this my will And I surely revoke all former wills by me heretofore made In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty eigth day of May One thousand eight hundred and eighty three Signed and acknowledged by the said John Swinscoe the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have herunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved at Derby the 21st day of August 1884 by the Oaths of Hannah Swinscoe Widow the Relict, Richard Hackett the Nephew and George Clement Gould the Executors to whom Administration was granted The Testator John Swinscoe was late of Cromford in the County of Derby Mechanic and died on the 28th day of March 1884 at Cromford aforesaid Gross value of Personal Estate £303.0.6 Extracted by teh Executors in person
