JOHN SWINSCOW 1850

This is the last will and testament of me John Swinscow of Dale Head Fairfield in the County of Derby Farmer made this ninth day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty seven and first I direct and order that all my just debts funeral expenses and the expences of the probate and execution of this my will shall be paid out of my property by my hereinafter named executors and I give to Mary Hall of Castleton the sum of five pound, and I give and bequeath to my son David Swinscow five pounds and I give and bequeath to my son Edmund Swinscow ten pounds and to Sarah Stover? of Blackhole I give and bequeath the sum of five pound all of good and lawfull money of Great Brittain And also I give and bequeath to Nancy Swinscow my daughter and to Samuel Swinscow my son the whole of my freehold land together with the house and premise tenements and inheritaments and every app? named belonging the stock and implements of ? household furniture goods and chattels to each an equal share and share alike and equally divided between them but if either my son Samuel be dead or my daughter Nancy be dead at the time of my death then I give and bequeath all the aforesaid share of the property of him or her who my be dead to all the rest of my children who may be alive at the time except on leaving out him or her who shall survive the other of the two to whom share given and bequeathed in to them I ? who shall be alive at my death to be divided equally among them share and share alike and thereby appoint and nominate my daughter Nancy Swinscow and my son Samuel Swinscow to be the executrix and executor to this my will and testament and allow them all reasonable expences and for any money they may receive under this my will hereby revoking and making void every former will by me under do pronounce and declare and seal this day first before written and seal thsi day first before written
