Am 28.11. nachts wurde der Posten Fickendey bei Comblain au Pont angeschossen und verstarb am 29. im Lazarett Malmedy. Dort begraben erfolgte später die Umbettung nach Vladslo." [The militia batallion was responsible for rail protection from the German border to Pont de Scay. On the night of 28 November Fickendey was shot at Comblain au Pont and died on the 29th in the hospital at Malmedy. He was later buried at Vladslo.]
