The following entry appears in the record of Rochester chapel under Gamekeepers:
Manor of Wouldham: Resolved and ordered that Benjamin Fagg the game keeper of the Manor of Wouldham belonging to this Church be acquainted that unless....proper seasons in the year supply more game to the Dean & ? of this Church & that at the usual & proper charge of one shilling for each hardon pheasant and six pence for each partridge woodcock or any game of a smaller denomination than hardon pheasant, the Dean & chapter will require him to surrender up the deputation. On 26 November 1784.2
The following was noted in the Rochester Cathedral records under Gamekeepers :
Ordered that Benjamin Fagg be written to and forbid to act any longer as gamekeeper of the manor of Wouldham and be required to surrender up his deputation and that a deputation be made to George Guy Esq. or such person he shall nominate.
After 26 November 1784.2 Benjamin Fagg married Ann Starke on 3 September 1786 at Wouldham, Kent, England.1
