Henry Landis b.25 November 1740 d.1825, son of Heinrich Landis and Elizabeth Naas. His first wife was Mary Carver. Together they arrived in Maryland around 1769, as a deed was recorded on December 29 of that year in which he, described as a saddler, purchased from Rubin Philips fifty acres called Pleasant Valley. This land was formerly owned by Dunker Marin Garber Sr.
Henry and his wife Mary moved to Franklin County Virginia between April 1788 and May 1788. There he purchased land from Charles Huston along Little Creek. After some years they moved to Preble Co. Ohio, where he died.
