Rudolf Baer, a grandson of my gggg grandfather Jakob (Bar, with umlaut),

b. 1831 in Crimea, probably Zuerichtal, married Magdalena Landis.

Another of Jakob's grandsons, Heinrich, married Katharina Landis. These marriages probably occurred in the 1850s. We may know more as we extract more of the Zuerichtal files from the St. Petersberg material. I'll keep digging.

We also have a Johannes Landis who married Nath(a)lia Baer. She was born in 1861 in Russia and died in 1896, probably in the US. I've tried to include this tree below.
