JESSIE L. (HASH) BALLARD
1918 - 2005JESSIE L. BALLARD, age 86, of Conyers, Ga., died Tuesday, October 25, 2005. To honor her final request, Ms. Ballard's ashes will be returned to the rural areas that were most dear to her in West Virginia. Born and raised on a farm in Cabell County, West Virginia, Ms. Ballard was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Mary's School of Nursing in West Virginia; served in World War II as an Army nurse, then worked as the Assistant Director of St. Mary's School of Nursing in Huntington, until retiring to St. Petersburg-Largo, Fla. in 1980. She spent her last year living in Conyers, to be with her family. Ms. Ballard is survived by her son and his family, Kyle, Paula, Sarah and Alex Fossum, all of Conyers; brothers and their families, Bruce and Jeanette Hash and daughter Valle Kimbrell, of Seminole, Fla., Dan, Tana, Joe and John Hash of Spotsylania, Va., Phil, Inez and Rob Hash and daughter Karen Dougherty of Maryville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; "adopted" family Art and Yvonne Kincaid in Largo, Fla. She was preceded in death by husband Edgar C. Ballard; sisters, Betty Kilgore, Roberta Wetherholt and Jenny Smith; and special friend, Ruby M. Fossum. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to your local Hospice service in honor of Ms. Jessie Ballard. Horis A.
