HAROLD D. DILLON, 91, of Huntington, W.Va., died April 25, 2004, in the VA Medical Center, Huntington. He was born February 5, 1913, in Cabell County, West Virginia, to the late Samuel James and Bertha Ethel Payne Dillon and was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mabel Virginia Dillon, two infant sons and a brother, Eldon Dillon. He was owner/operator of Harold's Superette, Huntington; a World War II Navy veteran; a charter member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church; a 1931 graduate of Huntington High School; member of the American Legion, VFW, the Masonic lodge, the Shrine where he had served as longtime treasurer; and was past president of the local Lost Chord Club. He is survived by his sister, O'lena Huron of Huntington; daughter, Patricia Rohrbaugh of Westerville, Ohio; sons, Sam Dillon of Huntington; Mark (Mary) Dillon of Huntington; business partner and very good friend Lewis "Butch" Bright; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, one nephew and a host of friends. Services will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. Trent Eastman officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
