To Mrs. Florence Hall & family Nov 10th 1926
Dear girl will ans your letter after so long a time I just got several letters since I come back but havent ans but one and that was your aunt alice [ wife of Mary’s brother John ] I ans her letter she wants me to come & stay the winter with her & I think I will go her & john was so good to me when I was with them they made me feel so welcome well I am not a bit well today I wake up in the night last night sick & I was awful sick for about 2 hours been sick all

Day havent ate eny thing today Hurbert is in the hospittle at fortworth with the typhoid fever he has been so sick 5 weeks but he is getting along fine the nurse said they would let him come home sometime next week I want go see him to morrow but if I dont feel eny better in the morning I wont try to go I went to see him last Sunday Hurbert is a sweet kid every body loves him he never gets lonesome some of his friends drop in to see him every day well I got a letter from Minnie she said her & dick was well & her papa was able to be up he is at her house now going to stay with her till he gets able to go to work again she wants me to come & stay with her this winter but I don’t think I want to the folks here are so good to me & I am better satisfied then I have ever been

Since I left okla & come to texas & its because I have some experience & I no other places could be worse well I commenced this letter several days ago & got so nervious I had to quit so got me a job went to work & been pretty buissy havent written to eny one I owe several letters mabe I will get them all ans by x-mas well to day is Monday Nov 30th will write afew more lines this leaves us all well Harold has been pretty sick but is up again & feeling pretty good we are having prarie fires all around every where don’t considerable damage burned up lots of feed stuff & buildings & pastures the fires just starts & no one seemes to know how they get started well now it gets a little cool of nights but warm & pleasant in daytime

Well I had a nice thanksgiving diner Minnie came down took diner with me they stayed till Sunday evning they wanted me to go home with them but dident want to leave my work except the washing & the woman has it done I so the ironing & kind of like it here your aunt alice keeps writing & beging me to come stay the winter with her but I want to work this winter I am going to get me a job in town after the x-mas hollidays & work till the middle of april them I don’t know what I will do then cant tell that far ahead well hope this finds you all well will close for this time so with best regards & good wishes for allI remain as ever your mother Mary.
