Transcribed in a different format by Susan Ferguson, 10 April 20021, from origional pages of the Leek Family Bible. All but a few pages of the bible were destroyed from water damage. The family record pages were saved by George Leek. He graciously gave the pages to me many years ago. The date of the bible is unknown but I think it was purchased about the time of marriage for Richard D. Leek and Mahala Frances Miller, possibly a wedding gift. The pages are extremely fragile as you can see in the images. The origional pages are 8 1/2" X 11" The images have been darkened for easier reading. My personal notes are inclosed with [ ~slf ]
