Cuckfield Parish Church - Holy Trinity
In the 1800s, Cuckfield (pronounced "cookfield") was a small market town. It was granted a charter in 1254. In 1861 the population of Cuckfield was 3196. In Black's 'Guide to Sussex' the inn The King's Head is noted. Holy Trinity church dates from the 13th and 14th centuries. There is evidence of earlier Norman foundations.
