| According to the 1850
Federal Census for Johnson Co., Indiana, Margaret
was born about 1848. She is the daughter of John
Walsh, a native of Ireland, who was born in
Galway, on August 9, 1816. He was the son of John
and Margaret (Flannary) who left Ireland and went
to Quebec, Canada and eventually arrived in
Madison, Indiana. He married Margaret's mother,
May Dalgleish on November 16, 1845, she having
been born in Scotland on the 28th of October,
1821 and daughter of John and Margaret (Wallace),
both descended from old and prominent Scotch
families. Margaret married
Thomas Hart Daily, son of David W. Daily and Mary
(Shirley) on 27 September 1868 and were the
parents of Katherine, Ella, and Maria Daily.
