| Born in New York in about
1797, Jerusha first married Joseph Spier in about
1820, and made their home in Saratoga Co., New
York. To this union were born three known
children: James Gros Spier who was born in 1822;
Mary Spier who was born in 1824; and Joseph Spier
who was born in 1826. Sometime after
the death of her husband on 13 Aug 1833, Jerusha
married Chester Jackson who was born in New York
on 15 Feb 1790 and was first married to Phoebe
Smith by whom he had a son Hiram - born in 1824.
The Chester Jackson familly was enumerated in the
1850 and 1860 census residing
in Milton, the household including Jerusha and
their son Spier Jackson.
The
family removed to Peoria, Illinois where Jerusha
passed away in 1862 and Chester on 11 Feb 1867.
They were laid to rest at Springdale Cemetery in
Peoria, Illinois.
