| Seth, the son of Samuel
and Cornelia (Buck), was born in Jonesboro,
Alexander Co., Illinois on 03 Sep 1863. He was
the couple's seventh child and was just a toddler
when the family came to Pettis Co., Missouri. He
married Lacie May Varner, the youngest daughter
of Charles and Sarah Jane (Barnes) and were the
parents of Reuben, Ruth and Lee W. Smith. Seth was a
carpenter for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and
was a member of the East Sedalia Baptist Church.
He died in Sedalia, Pettis Co., Missouri on 25
Jan 1949.
Both
were buried in the Smithton Cemetery in Pettis
Co., Missouri.
