| Seated here with his
youngest child, Ryan Richard Smith was born in
Warren Co., Illinois 17 Jun 1850. He was the son
of Samuel and Cornelia (Buck) and on 08 Mar 1874
he married Sarah E. Dulaban, daughter of Nelson
and Catherine in Pettis Co., MIssouri. Ryan and Sarah
were parents of Eddie, Ada, Myrtle and Norman who
is seated here on his father's lap. The two
daughters died at a young age and after the death
of Ryan and Sarah in 1896, Norman was raised by
his older brother Eddie.
Sarah
died on 11 Apr 1896 and Ryan just two months and
18 days later on the 29th of June. They were both
laid to rest at Smithton Cemetery.
