| Born about 1795 in
Saratoga Co., New York, Richard married Sarah
"Sally" Peck, daughter of Abijah and
Mindwell (Close) in about 1810 and they were the
parents of Mindwell who married John P.
Terpening; Eliza who married Solomon Wait, Jr.'
Abijah P.; Nathan; Richard Peters; Samuel;
Solomon Peck; and John B. Smith - all of whom
were born in Saratoga Co., New York. Richard died on
01 Jan 1840 in Clifton Park, Saratoga Co., New
York and was laid to rest in the Clifton Park
Baptist cemetery, his headstone being the first
one seen when you enter the cemetery. His wife
Sarah died on 12 Apr 1842 and was laid to rest
beside her husband.
Also
laid to rest near them is son John B. who was
died on 02 May 1835 at the age of 4 months and 33
days.
