in Illinois, Julia Caroline Slayback was the
daughter of Elly (House) and
Solomon Jr., he having been born in New
Jersey in 1793, and was the son of
Revolutionary War soldier Solomon Slayback of
Middlesex County, New Jersey and his wife
Sarah Hoagland. Julia was wed to Isaac
Cook Moore on 23 March 1854, in Madison
County, Illinois. Isaac is the son of
Joseph Moore and Jane (Grubb) of
Pennsylvania. They removed from
Pennsylvania and came to Madison County in
about 1843 where his father and Uncle James
Moore manufactured cow bells.
