Ship in which Giosúe
Rossomanno had taken to come to the United
States. This ship left from Naples, Campania,
Italy on or about the 5th of March and arrived in
the New York port on March 21, 1907. The ship
manifest states that Giosúe was a laborer, able
to read and write, age 21 and born in Papanici.
He is listed as five feet four inches, dark
complexion, black hair and eyes and having come
to meet with his cousin.
The Germania was built for
the Fabre Line in 1903 and traveled the
Mediterranean to New York. It was renamed
Brittania in 1914 and was scrapped in France in
1927.
