The daughter of Wilfred
Charles Sherburne and Florence Ann (Owen),
was born in Colfax, Dunn Co., Wisconsin on 26
Apr 1892. Photographed for a "dress-up
dance" Avis is about 17 years of age in
this photo taken in Taber, Alberta, Canada
where the family had moved about two or three
years earlier.
Avis
married Robert C. Danforth, son of Albro
& Eunice (Short) Danforth, in Taber in
1913. They were the parents of Erma, Guy,
Owen, Earl, and a daughter who died in
infancy.
Avis
passed away in Black Diamond, Alberta on 07
Mar 1975 and Robert on 16 Oct 1979.
