| The fourth child of George
Washington Scott and Rosemary Jerusha (Spier),
Eunice was born in Kansas on 22 Aug 1892. By 1900 the family had
moved to Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa where her
father was a lawyer and where the family remained
and were unumerated in the 1910 and 1920 census records. Her mother, who
had once been a music teacher, lost her sight and
Eunice and her sister Coaina cared for her,
neither of the women marrying, but both becoming
teachers like their mother. Eunice died on 19 Dec
1974 in Davenport and was laid to rest at St.
Marguerite Cemetery (aka Mt. Calvary).
