Born
26th of February 1877 in St. Charles, Winona
Co., MN, she was the eldest child of ten
children born to Albro B. Danforth and Eunice
Matilda (Short). The family moved to Barnes
County, North Dakota where Clara married
William F. Neagle on 28 November 1904.
William
was born in Chatsworth, Livingston Co.,
Illinois, and was the son of Irish imigrants,
John Neagle and Ellen Croty. He and Clara
were the parents of eight children, one boy
and seven girls, six of which lived to
adulthood. When William passed away in 1925,
their youngest child was but eight years old.
- In the mid thirties, Clara joined her
daughter Connie and son-in-law, V.W. Davidson
in Arizona where they lived and worked at the
dams eventually buying a small ranch in the
agricultural area of Peoria, northwest of
Phoenix. - She passed away on the 8th of
December 1959.

Vernon William Davidson
Born
in Luverne, Barnes Co., North Dakota, Vernon
was the son of Robert and Pearl (Johnson) who
were the parents of fourteen children. He
married C. Constance Neagle, the daughter of
William and Clara (Danforth) in 1934, he and
Connie having been neighbors and attended the
same school and social functions.
After
two years of failed crops from the dust bowl,
Vernon and Connie auctioned everything off
their ranch and headed west to Phoenix,
Arizona where Connie's sister Ruth had gone
earlier. He began working on the Arizona dams
and later moved to Phoenix where they bought
a filling station on the northwest edge of
town, later selling it and moving to Peoria
which was much further north of town. He
obtained his concrete contractor's license
and contracted in Phoenix for many years. -
He and Connie were the parents of three
children, LaVerna Leigh, Victor Delano, and
Darly Gene Davidson.

Mary Jeanette (Lane)
Davidson
Born
in St. Louis, Missouri, Jeanette was the only
child of Clarence Lane and Theresa (Laratta).
At about age eight, her parents divorced and
her mother married Virgil Baugh who moved the
family to Phoenix, Arizona when Jeanette was
about fourteen. She met Vic Davidson, son of
Vernon and Connie, on a blind date at the
Arizona State Fair and 1959 they married and
had three children, their youngest, Darlene,
passing a few hours after her birth.
Jeanette
and Vic lived most of their married life in
the Phoenix area where Vic was a licensed
concrete contractor. Jeanette loved the
outdoors, wild life, fishing, hunting, and
was a lover of literature and history. She
wrote poetry, kept the business books, and
after their divorce, became a nurses
assistant and child care provider. She was a
tender soul, compassionate and generous ...
and passed away far too quickly, leaving many
to mourn. She was my mother, my editor, my
friend - and the best of grandmas to my
daughter Lara.
