Ethel Clare Pilcher, the
daughter of Charles and Lavina (Gipe), was
born on 08 June 1881 in Plymouth, Marshall
County, Indiana.
Her
father, Charles Oscar Pilcher, was born in
Fayette Co., Illinois in 1851 and died in
1894. Her mother Lavina was born in Van Wert
County, Ohio on 15 May 1853 and they were
married in Plymouth in 1876.
Charles
and Lavina were also the parents of Roscoe A.
Pilcher who married Glennora Wilkinson; and
Estelle Pilcher who married Harry H. Hinde.
On
22 Feb 1911, Ethel married Karl R. Sleeper
who was born in Massachusetts in about 1875.
They were the parents of Karleen and Robert,
and resided in Los Angeles where Karl was a
surgeon.
Ethel
passed away in Laguna Beach, California on 22
October 1954.
