 Theodocia was
born on 20 May 1875 in Charlestown, Clark Co.,
Indiana. Her father Samuel was born 30 July 1834,
and her mother Ann was born on 26 March 1837. The
parents were married on 03 April 1860 and had
besides Theodocia, Ella, Edward, Milas, Nora,
Jessie and Benjamin by 1880 when the family was
listed in the Dist. 36, Utica
Twp., Clark Co., Indiana census. Theodocia married
James Beverly James, son of William James and
Elizabeth (Daily) in about 1901. They were the
parents of David Lewman James who was born in
Charlestown at the old Daily homestead, and later
raised a family in Charlestown.
Theodocia
passed away on the 30th of May in 1946 and James
B. James on 28 March 1955. Their son David passed
away in Jeffersonville on 08 Feb 1967. All are
laid to rest in Charlestown Cemetery in
Clark County, Indiana.
