| David was born 15 Mar 1820
in Clifton Park, Saratoga Co., New York
and was married to Mary Smith, the
daughter of Samuel T. and Judith
(Morehouse) Smith on 10 Sep 1848*, she
having been born on 25 Oct 1820. They
were residents of Schenectady, New York
and were enumerated in the census records
where he was listed as a tinman. He died 10 May
1897, many years after his wife's death
which occurred on 24 Apr 1854. Both were
laid to rest in Vale Cemetery.
Listed as No. 1 & 6 in
the Knowlton family album owned by Robert
Burnham.
Note: Stocking lists the year of marriage
as 1848, but it is most likely 1846 given
the year of birth of the first daughter,
Sarah.
