Information included here was obtained from an initial search of their marriage record which listed Elmer's place of birth as Will county, Illinois and as the son of Marshall B. and Althea (Tulliston) Knight.

MARSHALL KNIGHT appears to have been born about 1831 in Pennsylvania; and died before before 1900 in Germanville, Livingston, IL. He was counted in a census in 1880 in Germanville, Livingston, Illinois and both parents were listed as having been born in Vermont.

Marshall married Althea Tulliston who was born in June of 1833 in Ohio. She was was counted in the 1880 and 1900 census records living in Germanville, Livingston, IL, and listed in 1900 as a widow.

  2. Ira M. Knight - born in August 1861.

  3. Elmer A. Knight - born in April 1863.

  4. Ellen E. Knight - born about 1863 in Illinois and counted in a census in 1880 in Germanville, Livingston, IL.

  5. Alice A. Knight - born about 1865 in Illinois and counted in a census in 1880 in Germanville, Livingston, IL.

  6. Eva Knight - born on 27 Mar 1873 in Roberts, Ford, IL. She died on 07 Jun 1953 in Ford Co., IL. She was counted in a census in 1880 in Germanville, Livingston, IL and in a census in 1920 in Roberts Village, Ford Co., IL. She married married Thadeus Hedges on 28 Dec 1898 in Ford Co., IL. Thadeus was born in Feb 1870 in Carthage, Campbell, Kentucky and the census indicates both his parents were born in that state.

Chatsworth, Livingston, Illinois. He married Hannah C. (Hohnes) on 13 Nov 1889 in Ford Co., Illinois, she having been born about 1871 in Illinois, both of her parents listed as having been born in Denmark.

ELMER A. KNIGHT, son of Marshall, was born in April of 1863 in Illinois. He was counted in a census in 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1920 as living in Germanville, Livingston County, Illinois.

Elmer married Ella (Neagle), daughter of John NEAGLE and Ellen (Croty) on 02 Feb 1887 in Melvin, Ford Co., IL. Ella was born in April of 1865 in New York. She was listed as age 6 in the 1870 Chatsworth, Livingston, IL census; as age 16 in the 1880, and was then enumerated as living in Germanville, Livingston, IL in 1900, 1910, and 1920.
