| Norman John Kerr, the
son of Thomas & Mary
"Priscilla" (Broughton),
was born in 1902 in Minto Township,
Wellington Co., Ontario. About 1½
miles north of Harriston. He is
photographed here at about one year
of age, with a little unidentified
girl. In 1922 he married Elsie
- she having been legally born
Melinda Catherine Liesemer, youngest
daughter of John Liesemer and
Catherine Phillips on 17 Oct 1898,
but always known as Elsie. They were
the parents of Allan; Norma (wife of
Eldon Ott); Thomas; Elaine (wife of
Everett Holland); Blanche (wife of
Robert Sockett); Helen (wife of
George Noble); Joan (wife of Fred
Wakelim); and Robert Kerr.
Norman
passed away on 13 Sep 1974, and Elsie
on 16 Apr 1988. They are laid to rest
in the Harriston Cemetery.
